Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Estimate By approving this estimate—identified by the quote number at the top—the client agrees to all terms and conditions listed here. Approval also confirms acceptance of all line items and tree work described in the estimate.

2. Insurance Coverage Pro Tree Service carries liability insurance for injuries to persons or property, excluding driveways and sidewalks. All employees are covered under South Carolina Workers’ Compensation.

3. Workmanship Guarantee Pro Tree Service guarantees that all work will be performed in a neat, professional manner by trained and experienced personnel. Work is guaranteed as specified in the estimate. All agreements are contingent upon delays or circumstances beyond our control, including weather, equipment failure, or unforeseen hazards.

4. Additional Work Any work not listed in the original estimate requires separate approval and signature from the client. Additional work will be billed accordingly.

5. Hazardous Conditions If wind, storms, lightning, or other hazardous conditions create immediate danger, Pro Tree Service is not liable for damage to the client’s property or neighboring property that may occur during tree removal or trimming performed under those hazardous conditions.

6. Job Site Conditions & Access If the condition of the tree(s) or jobsite changes between the time of the estimate and the scheduled work—requiring additional labor or equipment—Pro Tree Service may adjust the contract price. If the client declines the revised price, they may cancel the contract but must pay any mobilization costs if crews have already arrived. The client agrees to provide exclusive access to the jobsite during the work, including space for vehicles, equipment, and crew. If crews are blocked from accessing the site upon arrival, a fee of $150 per crew member, per hour lost will be added to the contract.

7. Driveways & Sidewalks Pro Tree Service is not responsible for cracks or damage to driveways or sidewalks caused by equipment or vehicles.

8. Tree Ownership The client confirms that all trees listed in the estimate are located on their property. If any tree is on a neighboring property, the client must obtain written permission from the property owner before work begins. If a tree is mistakenly identified as belonging to the client, the client agrees to indemnify Pro Tree Service for any costs or damages resulting from the mistaken identification.

9. Diagnosis & Treatment Pro Tree Service makes reasonable efforts to diagnose tree conditions accurately and to recommend appropriate treatments based on industry standards. However, no warranties—express or implied—are made regarding treatment effectiveness, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Concealed or Unforeseen Conditions If hidden conditions are discovered during work—such as concrete, metal, foreign objects inside the tree, or active hornet/wasp/beehives—the client agrees to pay for additional labor or time required, billed at Pro Tree Service’s standard rate schedule. Pro Tree Service is not responsible for damage to underground utilities, gas lines, or sprinkler systems unless the client has notified the company of their presence before work begins. The client must mark or provide a diagram of underground systems. If stump grinding or root removal conflicts with underground utilities, full removal may not be possible. Pro Tree Service will discuss alternatives and adjust pricing as needed.

11. Disposal of Materials Unless otherwise stated in the estimate: Pro Tree Service will remove wood, brush, and debris generated by the work. Sawdust is not removed. If wood is left for the client, it will be cut into approximately 5–10 foot lengths and left unsplit at the stump location. Stump removal is not included unless specifically listed as a line item.

12. Communication Consent By accepting these terms, the client authorizes Pro Tree Service to communicate via phone, email, or text message. The client may opt out of future communications at any time.

13. Client’s Right to Cancel The client may cancel this agreement with at least 72 hours’ notice before the scheduled work. Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will incur a $150 cancellation fee.

14. Payment Terms Accepted payment methods include: Cash Check Credit card (3% processing fee applies) Payment deadlines: Residential jobs: Payment due within 72 hours of job completion Commercial jobs: Payment due within 30 days Late payments will incur a $150 late fee. If an invoice remains unpaid 30 days after the grace period, the account will be sent to collections.

15. Proposal Validity All pricing in this estimate is valid for 30 calendar days from the date issued. After 30 days, pricing may change due to labor availability, material costs, or seasonal demand. To secure current pricing, the client must provide electronic approval within the 30‑day window.

16. Turf & Landscape Damage Tree work often requires heavy machinery. Some turf or landscape disturbance is unavoidable, especially during removals or during wet seasons (spring and fall). Pro Tree Service is not responsible for repairing turf or landscape damage caused by normal equipment operation. Summary of Client Responsibilities To ensure smooth and safe operations, the client agrees to: Provide accurate information about tree ownership and underground utilities Grant full access to the jobsite Approve any additional work in writing Pay invoices on time Provide timely cancellation notice if needed
